Samuel Sultana

Artist

My art is a relentless exploration, an ever-evolving journey that defies conformity. Rooted in the theme of chaos, I embrace the freedom to collide new ideas with past explorations, avoiding the constraints of rules. My work is a testament to bold exploration, a playfulness that takes chances unapologetically.

In the act of creation, I immerse myself in the organic process, eschewing pre-planned notions. I paint with a fervor, constantly pushing boundaries, breaking patterns, and inviting the canvas to evolve in real-time. Using acrylics and various markers, I maintain a broad approach, experimenting with techniques to capture the essence of my exploration.

Inspired by diverse sources—paintings, sculptures, video games, films—I draw from a vast pool of influences. Basquiat, in my mid-teen years, challenged my perception of art, setting the stage for my unorthodox artistic journey. This influence seamlessly integrates into my work, a subconscious dance of colors, forms, and moods.

Themes of chaos, structure, organic evolution, and spirituality permeate my creations. Having explored psychedelic realms, my paintings capture the macro and micro movements of the universe. The uniqueness lies in the real-time manifestation of ideas, not as symbols but as proof of genuine exploration.

My artistic philosophy centers on momentum, intuition, and fearlessness. Art, to me, is a versatile tool—a conduit for self-expression, exploration, and connection. As my art evolves across chapters of life, each painting captures the organic progression, marked by overcoming fears and embracing breakthroughs.

I envision viewers drawn to the bold, intense, and intricate nature of my art. The experience is a labyrinth of delights, echoing the playfulness and risks embedded in each piece. I do not seek specific reactions; instead, my work serves as a record of exploration, a reminder for the audience to be playful, bold, and vivid.

In a field where consistency is often favored, my identity lies in explosive variety. Bold colors, chaotic harmony, labyrinthian swirls, and incessant exploration define my signature style. My multicultural upbringing and current isolation in the countryside subtly influence my work, offering a unique perspective.

Externally unaffected, my focus transcends transient events. As I enter a phase of concentrated painting, future aspirations involve exploring organic evolution further. Whether through different sizes, media, or a potential Parisian gallery collaboration, my goal is to leave behind an extensive, eclectic body of work—a testament to my intricate exploration of self, world, and universe, contributing to the broader realm of artistic expression.
